Congratulations to the 17 runners who achieved PBs — no mean feat in running conditions at the moment. My daughter, however, preferred it. She was, however, on call and if an incident had come in, she would have been seen sprinting to the car park at a faster speed than she normally achieves during her parkruns! Undaunted, amazing volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create an 'alternative alternative' course for the seasonal runs and people sprinted, jogged and walked around the three laps in varying degrees of Christmas attire. In the interests of quality control on the alternative alternative course I undertook an extensive survey of two people — I don't like three laps of any course! Representatives of 31 different clubs took part. Unfortunately, I'm not around on New Year's Day but I'm sure the sun will shine again and Dinton Pastures parkrunners and volunteers will turn out in force.
